Here’s something it seems many people have been anticipating for a while. Once again, Slutty Cattleya makes her return in Package Meat Vol. 9. I think this is the latest volume unless Shiawase Pudding Dou released another entry this past C83. Well, I’m sure I don’t have to explain what happens in this part, do I? The story doesn’t go anywhere if that’s what you were expecting. Anyway, time for a little bit of ranting on the initial translation. Feel free to skip that if you don’t care and are just happy that, with some outside help, a not-shit translation came out as a result.

Truth be told, I’ve had the raw and translation since about the end of December, but lemme tell ya, the initial translation provided by Laruffi (aka. Goatse on E-Hentai. Some may be familiar with his *cough*’work’*cough* already) was so terribly bad that there was no way, in my good conscience, that I could go through and release it at that level to the people who have been dying to read it. Needless to say, I lost motivation to work on it, so it got put on the back burner.
So, a month later, I ask TL’er buddy Biribiri to check the translation, which he kindly accepts. This proved to be an invaluable decision on my part. He subsequently proved what I had thought from the moment I received the translation (that it was shit). I knew the initial translation had mistakes in it because I, a non-moonrune reader, spotted a TL mistake in the very first bubble of the doujin. I just had no clue how many more TL mistakes there were until I compared the changes Biribiri made to the initial script. There were so, so many. Ranging from bad wording to guessing to just blatant rewriting. A lot of the initial translation was nowhere near what was actually being said (blatant rewriting/guessing). So far off, in fact, that even Biribiri suggested Google Translate was probably used.
So what does all that tell me? 1.) Laruffi (Goatse) doesn’t have a good understanding (if any) of the Japanese language and how it works. 2.) He barely has a grasp of the English language. 3.) The combination of the two make for really, really poor quality and highly inaccurate translations (blatant rewriting and guessing).
So with the rant aside (or not if you skipped it), the one responsible for us even having a scan of this doujin to work on is scanner buddy Kalevala, and the person who commissioned him for it, Alex68785. The one responsible for the terribly terrible initial translation (check the above rant) was Laruffi (aka. Goatse on E-Hentai). Biribiri, as the Translation Checker, was responsible for saving this doujin by being script janitor. And I handled the editing as well as further script janitor duties to clean up what was left.
